*Watts N388-1/4" Hot or Cold Water Anti-Siphon Vacuum Breakers* prevent the reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage. It consists of brass body construction and chemical resistant silicone seat disc. Series N388 has a full size orifice to assure pipe size capacity and maximum flow. It is ideal for low flow, hot or cold water non-continuous health hazard installations such as on laboratory equipment, bidets, bottle washers, chemical dispensers, dishwashers, photographic tanks, shampoo sinks, and soap dispensers. Maximum Pressure:125psi (8.6 bar). *For Anti-Siphon Vacuum Breakers* An atmospheric type anti-siphon vacuum breaker shall be installed where indicated on the plans to prevent the backsiphonage of contaminated water. The device shall include lightweight disc float with silicone disc for tight seating. This device is not to be used under continuous pressure or where there is a possibility that a back pressure condition may develop.
